WPCommunity Exists Because
WPCommunity Exists Because I want to share my experiences of WordPress from creating my first site and the various hurdles and mistakes that I have made over the years.
Now I have to cast my mind back to 2007 (I think) I had just been made redundant from a large software distribution company and I was looking for something to-do while I was looking for a new job.
When I think back my first attempt at building a website was actually not using WordPress I believe that I purchased a copy of Sitespinner a Windows based publishing tool, whatever I used it was not that successful.
I can’t quite remember when or where I first stumbled across WordPress I just remember it being a bit of light bulb moment . I now have number of WordPress powered sites covering a diverse number of subjects.
Over the years of building WordPress sites it never cease’s to amaze me that no matter what your problem is there is always someone in the WPCommunity to lend a hand. For me this is the most important aspect of WordPress its massive community , I consider this to be far more of a selling point than its free price tag.
So the years have passed along with various sites and projects ,attempts to become rich (laughs to myself) through building websites , to the present day of this latest and probably last venture (well maybe).
You may have noticed by now that I am great advocate of WordPress and its community and in a way this article is a sort of homage to everyone out there who supports us novices and would be entrepreneur’s.
There you have it a little potted history of how I ended up being a WordPress fan please feel free to share your experiences in the comments below.
